Dear Picketing Parents:
The child whom you bully picket has a legal right to attend that school should the parents choose for her to attend there.
All public schools in the United States have a legal obligation to any child who lives within their district boundaries.
We no longer live in the dark ages when children with special needs were not entitled to a free and appropriate public education. Who are you going to bully picket next? The kids with Down Syndrome or the kids with autism?
The same laws that protect this precious child will protect YOUR child should something (God forbid) happen to your child.

I cannot believe this! This is insane! I remember a ways back when my oldest was in preschool with a child who had a severe peanut allergy...and peanuts or anything containing peanuts were banned from that school to protect that child. They didn't have to do that, they chose to do that to protect that dear child. And nobody complained about it. It was just something you dealt with.
Seriously, grow up people.
How sad. Imagine attending a school where you know you are not wanted. Her crime--life-threatening peanut allergy. Seriously! What are those parents thinking. Oh, wait! They are not.
Yes, this has been a hot topic on some of the boards I am on. I was disgusted the other day when some of the moms on there were complaining about the autistic kids in their children's classes and how special needs kids should have their own classes so that they aren't taking away from the normal kids. So glad we homeschool my autistic son.
Back when Logan went to school, I requested this and was told no. Just before I took him out, I walked into the cafeteria to discover the ENTIRE cafeteria eating celery with peanut butter. I was livid and went right to the principal. His teacher was like what are you going to do? I withdrew him later and now the school is peanut free. Figures!
